Every June we receive somewhere between 180 and 250 scholarship applications from students who have just passed Class 10 in the schools we work with. Every June we fund a fraction of them.
This year sixty applicants cleared the panel — 60% or above in the board exam, family income under ₹1,50,000, and a government school on our register. Forty-one of the sixty are girls.
₹12,000 covers a year of intermediate: college fees, hostel charges, a trunk and bedding, exam fees and a bus pass. ₹24,000 covers a year of a degree course. The money goes directly to the institution and to the student’s own bank account, never through an intermediary, and continuation depends on attendance rather than on marks.

Panel completed, sixty shortlisted
Three days of interviews across Warangal, Nalgonda and Khammam. The panel this year included the headmistress of KGBV Chennaraopet and a 2021 scholar now in her final year of B.Sc. Nursing. Forty-one of the sixty shortlisted are girls.

Forms are with every headmaster on our register and can also be submitted online. Deadline is the end of this month. No application fee, and no student is asked to travel for the first round.

A girl misses roughly fifty school days a year when her school has no private, water-connected toilet. ₹78,000 restores one block, and with it a full academic year for every girl in the school.
