School Health Camp — Gollapadu

Medical students from Kakatiya Medical College, supervised by a registered paediatrician, screen every child in the school across four stations. Vision screening comes first because it is the highest-yield: roughly one child in seven has uncorrected refractive error and has never been tested. Spectacles are dispensed at a follow-up visit three weeks later. Every referral is handed to the Primary Health Centre for the mandal, not retained by us. The point is to connect the child to the public health system, not to substitute for it.
